WE HAVE RETURNED FROM OUR ALASKAN ADVENTURE! After an initial set-back involving the car, the travel trailer, and an unhappy Sophie, we left Oklahoma City on August 17 for Alaska. Twenty four days and 7,783 miles later we pulled back into the driveway.

We are in the final stages of packing and plan to be on the road tomorrow. Last night we attended the wedding of Abby and John Pettifer and talked to several well-traveled people about our trip. We learned there is a Grand Canyon in Yellowstone that should not be missed, nor should the Grand Tetons. But now we are in the throes of what to take. My feeling is there are WalMarts everywhere (probably not in in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone), so we will be able to purchase those important forgotten items. Joan

ReplyDeleteThanks for adding me your blog. I am thrilled to be following your trip to out of the heat and onward to Alaska. If you got away today as planned, just know that it has temporarily cooled down in Stillwater to 75 and some rain blew, and I mean, blew through. The wind and rain are supposed to go through OKC, too. Hoping you find the cool weather and have a wonderful time!
