We drove through some interesting country today on Rt.550 in NM. Instead of flat scrub land we saw mountains and mesas.Once again Ed did all the driving. The BMW is very comfortable, and I do plan to get behind the wheel on the open road--perhaps tomorrow. We are 7000 feet up and it is in the 70ies which is a welcome change. We went to the fanciest Wal-Mart I've ever been in in Durango. We got fruit, vegetables, and steaks for dinner this evening. We think we'll just drive on north tomorrow. We want to visit Jackson Hole and Yellowstone.
Hi Joan and Ed--I love hearing about your trip. You look so cute in all the pictures. Of course it is 100 + degrees here so enjoy the cool air! My niece went to Ft. Lewis in Durango. I have never been there but hear it is a fabulous place. Safe travels!
